BIO

Hazel Blair is a British and Zambian artist, who was raised in the Middle-East and now based in London. She holds a BA(Hons) in Fine Art from Goldsmiths University of London.

Blair’s work explores dreamlike narratives from an intimate perspective. Her work references the folklore and mythology of her dual Zambian and Scottish heritage, as well as an interconnectedness to ancestral land. Blair navigates a speculative and imaginative space, creating meaningful gaps in the narrative that interlace romance and dreaming with the harsher realities of lived experience.
